Braided Spaghetti & Meatball Stuffed Bread

When you love carbs as much as I do, having the spaghetti IN the bread, just makes it 10x better!!  Amazing!!!  I saw a picture of it somewhere, can't remember if it was Facebook or Pinterest.  Either way, there were no instructions, so this is how I did it!  My extremely hard to please hubby, took this out of the oven and threatened to eat it all before I got home!!!    It was extremely tasty and quite versatile to fit your own tastes and preferences.

Ingredients:

Dough - handmade or store bought
6-8oz Spaghetti, cooked according to package
Thick Spaghetti Sauce
Meat of choice, cooked
Shredded mozzarella cheese
1tbsp butter, melted
garlic salt, to taste

Directions:

This dough can be any bread dough you would like.  I personally, used my go to dough from Chocolate Bread Rolls minus the chocolate.  I have made dinner rolls, pepperoni rolls, you name it.  Love this dough!!  You can also try the frozen dough (Rhodes Bread Dough) Or something similar. Just follow the directions for thawing it. Once the dough is ready, spread it out on parchment paper on a large cookie sheet.  I used my fingers but you can use the rolling pin as well.  whatever is easiest for you.  I forgot to get picture of next step, but take your melted butter, mix in the garlic salt to taste.  Brush the mixture onto the dough.

Mix the spaghetti, meat, and sauce.  My suggestion, is to mix spaghetti and meat first, and then slowly add the sauce.  You don't want it to be too saucy.  Add any seasonings and flavoring at this point. Preheat oven to 375°F.

Place mixture in center of dough.

Top with as much or as little cheese as you would like.

Make equal amounts of slits on both sides of spaghetti.  start the slit about 1/2 inch from spaghetti pile. Fold the ends over the mixture.

Starting at the top, place one strip over, making sure to stretch it to the bottom of the other side.  The place the other strip over.  Keep the pattern for all the strips.  At the end, tuck the last strip into the roll.

Brush butter mixture over entire top of loaf.  Bake in Preheated Oven until golden brown, approx. 20 minutes.

This recipe is so versatile, you can do many things with it.  Use any type of pasta you want.  Any meat, I used meatballs, but you can use sausage or even bite size chucks of chicken.  You can even use a white or Alfredo sauce instead of regular tomato sauce.  Enjoy!!!!
