Pancakes from Scratch

Yesterday, I promised my munchkin that I would get some more pancake mix to make his favorite chocolate chip pancakes.  Well, that never happened.  So, today I needed to make some pancakes since i try so hard to not break my promises to my kids. I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com but didn't have ALL of the ingredients.  I decided to use it as a base and make my own.  They came out PERFECTLY! We love our pancakes very dense and usually just eat one big one (using our smallest frying pan to make just one at a time). So if you have a taste like ours, then this is for you!!  and even if you don't, well give it a shot and let me know what you think! Both of my boys had THREE pancakes each!!!

Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies

So, tis the season to be merry and bright, right?  oh who am i kidding?  tis the season to pull my hair out and bake myself to oblivion!  HAHA  This year, I think I baked more than I ever have!  what have I gotten myself into?  This cookie, was my last to go in the tin for the boys' teachers.  and boy, was it the cookie that broke the camel's back!  seriously!!  lol  Looking at it and reading the directions, seemed sooo easy.  actually making it, a whole other story!!!  LOL  But, what matters most to me, is that they taste AMAZING!  even if the candy canes have some shape issues!  lol

Bubble Cinnamon Buns

So, my family has a MAJOR love of cinnamon buns! Today i was looking for something cool to make but wouldn't take me the 3+ hours to make my buns from scratch. So i came up with this idea. It came from an old recipe I found a long time ago for bubble pizza. I hope you enjoy it as much as We are INHALING it at the moment!!

Meat and Cheese Ravioli's

So, I have an abundance of Wonton wraps that I used for another recipe (Lasagna Cups) and decided to mess with them. I knew you could make your own ravioli's using them, so that is just what I attempted to do.

Chocolate Chip Cookie-Stuffed Pies

YES!  You saw that correctly!!  The best of 2 worlds!!  Cookies and Pies!!  I found this little gem on Pillsbury.com.  It is HEAVEN!!!!!!   I have been eyeing this recipe for a while now, but couldn't decide WHEN I would do it.  Now I am kicking myself as to why I hadn't done it sooner!!!!!  LoL

Nails anyone??

I have an obsession.  Always have.  With nails!  But not my own.  oh no!  Can never be my OWN nails!  Because I have bitten my nails since I was 3 yrs old!!  So, I guess it sort of makes sense that I'm obsessed with doing my own fake nails.  Which in turn keeps me from biting my own nails.  I've been doing them on and off since I was in high school.  (which seems soooo far away now!  lol)

So, I thought I'd show some of my work.  Nothing too fancy.  I am considering doing some new ones tonight as I haven't had nails on in a few months (just too busy).  I also want to try this new stuff recommended to me by my sister in law to use nail dehydrator to help them stay longer. I will definitely have to try and it let you know how that goes!

Anyways, here goes a few pictures...These are all acrylic and design done by me.

Lasagna Cups

So, who here DOESN'T love Pinterest?  I know I LOVE it when i'm searching for different ideas!!  I came across these SUPER cute Lasagna cups!  I mean seriously, who doesn't love all things shaped like cupcakes??    LoL

A Little More About Me

I thought I would make a post explaining a little more about me and who I am.

 I am married to the most amazing, caring man who works so very hard to take care of his family! He is my best friend. We are an interracial couple. I am white and hubby is from Haiti. We have 3 BEAUTIFUL children. Our first boy, jr, is about to be 8 in Dec. Our second boy, munchkin, just turned 4 in July. My last , baby girl, is about to be 9 months. My house is almost never spotless, never quiet, and there is always SOMETHING happening. Never boring! But that is ok because there is love everywhere!
